The Optimen story has come a long way from the house party in 2001 that led to the bands conception. From the start, it became quickly apparent that the glue holding the crew together was a shared commitment to not only raise both the bar for Australian hip-hop, but also never lose the 'Quality over Quantity' mentality.
The groups first release, Breath Control EP received national attention and airplay across Tripe J and community radio. In 2005 the crew returned with their debut album Boomtown, a pivotal release that saw single Give It Up receive high rotation on Triple J, the Channel V Best Film Clip Award and took out the Roland Best Urban Artist Award at the 2006 MusicOz Awards.
Now here in Brisbane in 2010 to perform at BIGSOUND Live!
